2024 ALL-CHURCH TRIP

June 10-13, 2024
Bethany, WV
Bethany is the home to Bethany College, a Disciples of Christ college founded by Alexander Campbell, who is one of the founders of what has now become our denomination – the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). In addition to service projects in the town of historic Bethany and with the Disciples of Christ Historical Society, we’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the history of our denomination in one of the places from which those roots grew. Each day will offer opportunities for relationship-building, service, reflection, worship, and fun.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the focus of the trip?

Disciples’ Roots

Bethany is the home to Bethany College, a Disciples of Christ college founded by Alexander Campbell, who is one of the founders of what has now become our denomination – the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). In addition to service projects in the town of historic Bethany and with the Disciples of Christ Historical Society, we’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the history of our denomination in one of the places from which those roots grew. Each day will offer opportunities for relationship-building, service, reflection, worship, and fun.

What is the cost?

$100 for each participant, youth or adult

This amount is not the actual cost of the trip. South Elkhorn’s Discipleship Ministry area subsidizes the total mission trip cost to make it more affordable for people to attend.

Additionally, each participant will need to bring money for one dinner out and any souvenirs, snacks or personal items.

If the trip cost above is not affordable, especially if more than one person is attending in your family, please reach out to Pastor Holly Fuqua. South Elkhorn does not want affordability to stand in the way of anyone participating in a mission trip.

What are the deadlines to attend the trip?

A non-refundable payment of $100 is required by March 31 to save your spot on the trip.

This allows for the time needed to secure transportation and make arrangements.
