Sometimes we miss the bigger picture. Advent opens our eyes to the fullness of God’s ongoing mystery and unexpected presence.

We need Advent this year, perhaps more than ever. Advent is about patient endurance, active waiting, holding on to a transforming hope–all made possible by the God who has chosen and chooses again to be with us.

The story of Christ’s birth is a story of people who woke up to what God was up to.
