The Care Team
The Care Team plans, connects, and communicates care matters through a variety of teams, groups, and gatherings. The team coordinates expressions of love and care across the life and ministries of the church, including visitation, meal support, and cards.
If you would like to get involved in a care ministry, share a care concern, or make a prayer request, then please email care@southelkhorncc.org
You can learn more about South Elkhorn’s Care Ministries below:
Home-bound Communion
Elders visit and share the communion elements (bread and cup) with those in long-term care, who are recovering from illness or injury, or who are otherwise unable to attend worship in person.
Prayer List
South Elkhorn prays for members of the church family celebrating life, mourning death, and going through illness, surgery, and difficulty. A printed prayer list is available in the church foyer or online at southelkhorncc.org/prayer-list
Stephen Ministry
South Elkhorn equips and empower caregivers—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.
Sunshine Ministry
Bringing joy and love to South Elkhorn members and friends who are unable to worship in person due to an extended illness, physical condition, or in recovery from surgery. This includes seniors who are home-bound on a long-term basis.
