A Requiem for 2020
Requiem for 2020
Romans 8:28
Invitation to Reflect by Rev. Michael Swartzentruber
“Lean into the Questions” by Dr. Dan Mosely
Pause and rest to lay the year that was before the God who is and will always be.
Release the heaviness of the heartbreak, grief, and division of a harrowing year into the gentle hands of Christ.
In the darkness of what has been, prepare your heart for the dawning of what is to come.
What you’ll need for the service:
Bread and juice (or whatever creative alternatives you have on hand) for Communion
A Candle to light in sweet release and remembrance
A journal or piece of paper to write and reflect on the following questions:
1. What is one thing you’ve learned from this year?
2. What is one thing you’d like to lay to rest before God from this year?
3. What is one thing you’d like to carry with you into the new year?
