QUILT EXHIBIT
Saturday afternoon, July 26, 2008 1-5 PM
An exhibit of over 40 quilts will be on display in the CMC Saturday afternoon, July 26, from 1-5 as part of our 225th anniversary celebration.
One of these many interesting quilts is reputed to have been made by Elijah Craig's mother and to have been carried in a saddlebag by members of "The Traveling Church" that came to Kentucky in 1781 from Spotsylvania, Virginia.
Quilt making was a necessity in the early days of our church. Artisans took great pride in sewing colorful and innovative patterns. Many of the quilts which will be on exhibit were made by ancestors of this congregation.
Refreshments will be served.

All are welcomed to the “About Christianity Class” in Room 111. Over the summer, the class will study the book “Justice in the Burbs.”

Miniature Golf at Lexington Ice Center and Sports Complex

Want to play some golf? Great! Please join us for a fun afternoon!! They have 3 courses and all of them have a biblical theme. Course I—Old Testament, Course 2— New Testament and Course 3—Miracles. So come to play golf and to learn some bible stories together. The cost is $5.00 for one game (18 holes) or $7.00 for unlimited games. Children 10 and under - $4.00 for one game and $6.00 for unlimited games.
