CHILDREN’S WORSHIP & WONDER SCHEDULE

Children’s Worship and Wonder meets every Sunday following the Children’s Sermon. This is for ages 3 through third grade. Parents are asked to pick up their children after worship in Room #203. Click here for details

Ski Trip to Perfect North Saturday, February 20

Cost: $45 The price includes admission, lessons and snowboarding, skiing and tubing rentals. Please sign up on the sheet in the CMC foyer. We will need more than 15 people to get the group rate of $45 so please bring your friends! See Holly if you have any questions.

Euchre This Saturday, February 20 7:00 PM, McMahan Hall

There will be lots of fun, fellowship, and food. Everyone is welcome. If you don’t know how to play, this is an excellent opportunity to learn. Please call Jeannine Robinson to reserve your seat.

JOY Circle February 21, 5:30 PM

Looking ahead, we want to remind you that JOY will not meet on the second Sunday, as usual. We will meet on the third Sunday, Feb. 21, 5:30 at the church. Go ahead and mark it on your calendar! Timothea Branham has agreed to share with us about her recent life-changing decision. If you don't know what that is, then make sure you come to the meeting!

We will be watching Act Two of the video series “Our Lincoln” and enjoy a potluck lunch. This is the play that was at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC and Singletary Center in Lexington.

Jeff Parrett will present the program on baseball...pitches, balls and strikes, hits and homers, flies and lies.

Kids Consignment Sale March 18-20

The Consignment Sale is right around the corner! Your help is needed with meals. We need people to bring in fruit, veggies, sandwiches, snacks, pizza, desserts, light meals, drinks, etc. We have had more workers in the past few years, therefore, we could use more food, which includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and of course snacks to eat between meals. If you are willing to buy or make some food, we would greatly appreciate it. Please sign up on the bulletin board in the foyer! Thanks for your help.

You are Invited! All Church Trip to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee March 28-30

Want to spend a few days in the Smoky Mountains worshipping, shopping, relaxing, hiking and joining together to watch Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede? Great! Come join us March 28-30!!

We will drive separately and can leave after worship on Sunday, March 28. On Monday, March 29 we will see a "fun-filled action packed extravaganza" at the Dixie Stampede exactly next door to our hotel. The show begins at 6:00 pm, but our pre show starts at 5:15 pm. When the show begins, we sit down for a four-course meal and watch "stunning performers, amazing horse feats, fantastic stunt riders, magic and audience participation."

The group price for Dixie Stampede including tax and gratuity is $36.09 for adults and $23.97 for children 4-11. Children 3 and under are free if they sit on a parents lap. The facility is fully accessible for individuals with special needs and they have vegetarian meals available upon request.

We have rooms blocked under South Elkhorn Christian Church at Best Western Plaza Inn. The cost is $51.00 per room for two double beds with a delicious continental breakfast provided. We also have a room reserved for morning devotions together. Reservations for the rooms need to be made by February 28. Please call 1800-232-5656 to make reservations. Easter Egg Hunt! Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday, April 3 at 10:000 am in McMahan Hall.

Please mark your calendars for this wonderful event! We are going to begin collecting Easter candy for the big day because we will need all the candy by Saturday, March 27. Please feel free to bring bags of individually wrapped candy to the church office marked "Easter Egg Hunt." We want to be careful of our children that have nut allergies, so please bring candy that is nut free. Thank you!
